STEP UP ON REVENUE DRIVE, KOGI INFORMATION COMMISSIONER TASKS MEDIA HOUSES |LAGOS EYE NEWS

Kogi State Goverment owned Media Houses have been charged to be more proactive in the discharge of their duties in order to ensure adequate revenue generation for the state.

The State Commissioner of Information and Communication, Kinsley Fanwo gave the charge in his office during an interaction session with staff of the Ministry, Graphics, Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation and Printing Press in Lokoja.

Fanwo emphasised the need for all media houses in the state especially Printing Press to step up their drive in terms of revenue generation, noting that government needs more funds to execute projects that have direct bearings on the welfare of the people.

The Commissioner told all the State owned media houses to step up their advertisement, pointing out that the printing press should continue to ensure that it executes all printing Jobs of Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Kogi State.

Fanwo commended Governor Yahaya Bello for repositioning the Media houses in the state, especially the provision of four Soundproof generators to Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation Lokoja and its booster stations which include, Radio Kogi Egbe, Radio Kogi Otite, and Radio Kogi Ochaja.

He also noted that the construction of a befitting state of the art office complex for the Graphics and the creation of online Radio for Kogi State Broadcasting Corporation by Governor Bello were commendable.

In his remark, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Peter Steven thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for the massive office structure of Newspaper Corporation, assuring that the Ministry will continue to ensure the dissemination of Government activities to the people of Kogi State and Nigeria in general.
