The wife of the governor, state of Osun, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola has described prayer as one of the potent weapons to fight the monster called insecurity in Nigeria.
Against this backdrop she advocated the need for all Nigerians to embark on ceaseless prayers unto God.
Mrs Oyetola made this known when she led a special prayer session at the Government House, Okefia Osogbo with the theme; All women special prayer session for peace and insecurity in Nigeria.
The women drawn from various groups were at the spiritual prayer session to commit the affairs of Nigeria and in particular the state of Osun before God.
Speaking, Mrs Oyetola enjoined people to continue to be hopeful that the myriads of security challenges currently bedeviling the country is going to be a thing of the past.
She added that the decision to have the national prayer session was arrived at during the last meeting of the Nigeria Governors Wives Forum.
Oyetola, who is the Chairperson of the forum in the South West therefore urged women to engage in prayer as a weapon to end insecurity.
She called for a change of attitude especially by women in placing money above other considerations and enthronement of virtues of peace,unity and orderliness by women on children.
At the session, special prayers were also held for the Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, his family, Members of the state Executive Council as well as the entire people of the state of Osun.
