‘COVID-19 Vaccine Will Boost Sanwo-Olu’s Healthcare Programme’|LAGOS EYE NEWS

“Before the arrival of the COVID-19 Vaccine, Governor Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State had been winning the war against the killer pandemic, says pro-democracy and human rights crusader, Comrade Adebayo Oyenekan.

Oyeneka said this in a media chat in Ikorodu, Lagos State. Saying His performance in the fight against the monster, during its first coming and its second appearance met the governor solidly on ground giving the deadly virus a befitting crushing defeat.

According to his as quoted, His fierce way against the disease also attracted accolades from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United nations (UN). Even, recently, the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo also commended the governor’s way of fighting the pandemic.

He also expressed the belief that, the procurement of the vaccine would be an added advantage for the workaholic governor to wrestle the monster to the ground and out of the state.

Oyenekan who is the leader of the Congress of Progressive Youth (CPY), added that before the vaccine, the healthcare delivery structure in Lagos State under Sanwo-Olu, has been so formidable that, the disease was curtailed and prevented to spread rapidly into the hinterland.

“to say the least, Governor Sanwo-Olu has convinced, even all the doubting Thomases that, he was seriously prepared for the gubernatorial job before declaring ambition to govern Lagos.

While further commending the governor, He said the good people of Lagos State did not make a mistake giving Sanwo-Olu their mandate in 2019. “so far, Sanwo-Olu has not disappointed us and I believe he will not disappoint us.”

” it is believed that the governor would manage the Lagos consignment effectively just as he advised the residents to troop out to get vaccinated; admitting that, the arrival of the vaccine would further boost the governor’s efforts at eradicating the pandemic.

Oyenekan charged the residents that observance of all the anti-Covid-19 protocols like keeping social distancing, washing of hands, wearing of mask and keeping away from crowd, stressing the need to cooperate with the governor in his efforts at guaranteeing the wellbeing of his people.

Against this backdrop, the youthful pro-democracy crusader expressed optimism that residents would need little or no persuasion to troop out for the medical remedy starting from Monday, March 15, stating that, “after all, the governor and his team had allayed the residents’ fears that the vaccine is dangerous and deadly.
