As the Women across the world celebrate International Women’s Day, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-olu on Monday vowed to support all agitations to for all-inclusive society and breaking barriers against feminism.
He disclosed this in his message to celebrate #IWD2021, with the theme; “Women in leadership achieving an equal future in the covid-19 world”
According to him as quoted, “Happy #InternationalWomensDay to women all over the world.
“I celebrate and join you as we #ChooseToChallenge inequality at all levels.
“I pledge to continue to support you and cheer you on as you break barriers, smash glass ceilings and agitate for an all-inclusive society.
Similarly, Honourable Jide Jimoh, a member House of Representatives representing Lagos Mainland Federal Constituency said the National Assembly should give women more constitutional and statutory roles to have a better governance.
“I salute women all over the world on the commemoration of the international women’s day. We have to continue to support them because they are our mothers, wives, sisters and daughters, he stated.
“I am totally in support that the National Assembly should give women more constitutional and statutory roles because of the value they will add.
“I salute their courage, and I know they are up to the task to come on board to occupy more elective offices and appointments, Jimoh added.
