The Controller of corrections, Aliyu Baba Usman has taken over the mantle of Leadership of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) in Kwara State.
The official handing and taking over ceremony was held on Monday at the Kwara Command Headquarters Office Ilorin.
In a statement released by Adegbuligbe Philip, Kwara Command Public Relations Officer as quoted said the new controller was formally the officer in charge of parole at the National Headquarters of the Nigerian Correctional Service in Abuja while his predecessor Controller Adebisi Adewale Francis has been posted to Lagos State Command as the State Controller.
Aliu Baba Usman, a 1988 graduate of Bayero University Kano, in his maiden speech, he promised to run an open door policy and charged the staff to be disciplined and adhere strictly to the rules and regulations of the service, according to him.
He commended the authorities of the Nigerian Correctional Service for the privilege and honour given to him to serve his father land.
