The Caretaker Chairman, Kwara APC, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa has urged Christians to offer fervent prayers for the state, the nation and to embrace self restraint instead of wild celebration at Christmas.
In a release by his media office in Ilorin, Hon. Bolarinwa opined that the times we are in now calls for prayers, sober reflection and self restraint.
“Nigerians irrespective of religion must continue to pray for peace, end to insurgency , banditry and an end to the recent spike in Covid -19 pandemic. At a time like this that we are rationally supposed to be jubilating and celebrating the birth of Christ, we must also reflect on the imperative of prayers for our nation and the need to be cautious according to the new directives of Government on stemming the tide of covid-19.
“I therefore wish our Christian brothers and sisters a rewarding and fulfilling Yuletide and a prosperous new year to all kwarans, he said.
