Osun first lady, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola has urged the beneficiaries of women empowerment to make proper use of the funds provided to enhance economic viability as well as impacting on their families and communities at large.
Mrs Oyetola stated this at Akirun town Hall in Ikirun during empowerment programme organised by Hon. Mulikat Jimoh representating Ifelodun State Constituency in the state assembly.
Speaking further, She maintained that the empowerment programme came in at a good time. Urging the women to judiciously used the fund received to better the improved on their existing business. Also appreciated the lawmaker for remembering the women in her constituency and the empowerment to boost their financial capacity.
Wife of the Governor added that all political office holders in the state should to always be supportive by helping the less privileged and not to relent in all party responsibilities in their various domain.
She urged all citizens to always take precautions of Covid 19 seriously by using face mask always, washing hands and observing social distancing as Nigeria is experiencing the second wave of Corona Virus.
Hon. Mulikat Jimoh, who doubles as the Chairperson, House Committee on Women Affairs, while reeling out her achievement in the last one year said several empowerment programmes was organized for the needy.
“Payment of school fees for some selected secondary schools and tertiary education students, payment for Jamb fees, rehabilitation of boreholes at ward 4, Solar powered lights at Iso Arobo to boost night trading and among others, she said.
