Deputy Speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Wasiu Sani Eshinlokun has condemned the firing of live bullets on peaceful #EndSARS protesters at the Lekki Toll Plaza on Tuesday evening, saying the perpetrators must be brought to justice.
In a statement, Eshinlokun described the shootings as ungodly.
“The killing at the Lekki Toll Gate is condemnable and ungodly. Protests are one of the ingredients for stable democracies and they are always call for actions by leaders and policy makers.
“I pray the incident is investigated and perpetrators brought to Justice. Am emotionally drained,” Eshinlokun said.
Also, former member of Lagos House of Assembly representing Epe II, Segun Olulade said the shooting was barbaric and shocking.
“Shooting at unarmed peaceful protesters at Lekki toll gate is barbaric, unacceptable, unconstitutional and shocking,” he said.
