A member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu representing Eti-Osa constituency 02 has honoured public servants in Nigeria and in particular Lagos State amid COVID-19 pandemic.

It would be recalled that United Nations set aside June 23 of every year to honour the work of public servants globally. This year’s theme is “Honouring Public Servants in the Covid-19 pandemic Response”.

While he celebrated the work being done by the public servants, Yishawu urged them not to ignore social distancing rules, the use of facemasks and regular washing of hands.

The Chairman House Committee on Budget and Economic Planning stressed the need for the public servants to protect themselves amid this pandemic.

“I join other well meaning Nigerians to celebrate you all”. To honour the work of public servants globally in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, the UN is organizing a public service day on June 23rd, and hosting an outreach and resource platform from 15th-30th June for all Public servants.
