Kenya has recorded three more coronavirus cases bringing the total to 31 the number of confirmed cases in the East African nation.Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr.Mercy Mwangangi says the three are contacts of previous cases.

She said 906 persons have been traced and are being monitored and that 18 of them are at the Mbagathi Hospital in Kenyan capital Nairobi.

The current total number of contacts stands at 1,029 with 123 people having been discharged.More than 2,000 people arrived into Kenya this week and all of them are in quarantine and will be tested in due time.

Kenya is gearing up for a daily curfew that will start this Friday March 27, as announced by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday.

The curfew effective Friday between 7.00 pm and 5.00 am will exclude persons who provide critical and essential services like the security agents, media personnel, food and beverages people among others.
